Survey sheds light on first impressions

Survey sheds light on first impressions If you're meeting a potential extra-marital lover for the first time, you'll obviously want to make a good impression.

A new survey carried out by the popcorn makers Butterkist may help you by showing you which parts of your body and personality you should show off.

For women, a nice smile is the first thing they look for in a man, followed by a sensor of humour. So guys, brush those pearly whites and memorise a few jokes before meeting your lady.

Also important to women are characteristics such as thoughtfulness and generosity, as well as intelligence and affection.

Men, it seems, are more concerned about a woman's physical attributes than her character traits, with a great body and a cleavage coming in first and second place in the list of what they find most attractive.

But again, a nice smile and a sense of humour are top turn-ons, although guys also like it if their date laughs at their jokes, preferably with a cute giggle.

Worried your date may not match up to your expectations in the flesh? Fear not, as another study by researchers at Iowa State University has found that people who date online are just as attractive as those who meet people offline, Reuters Life reports.
