Don't forget to pick up the kids

Times flies when you're having fun, especially if you're spending the day with your extra-marital lover while your other half is at work.

But cheating spouses better keep an eye on the time if they have children and they're on school run duty.

According to a new survey by competition website WinMonkey.co.uk, forgetting to pick up the kids is a common dilemma among women enjoying a bit of nookie behind their partner's back.

One in five tardy mums have apparently been late collecting their children from school because they were having a secret affair.

It's easily done. You're having fun with your lover and before you know it, it's 4pm and you were meant to be at the school gates half an hour ago.

Of course to reduce the risk of being found out, you could plump for a different excuse.

The poll shows that work commitments, car problems, traffic and over-running appointments are common reasons for being late, while some mums claim television and online shopping has caused them to lose track of time.
