Stay sober and bring cash on a first date
20 Jan 2010
Married people who are looking for some adulterous fun but who have been off the dating scene for some time, may wish to take the advice of blogger Simcha Whitehill. In a post on the Frisky website, she said meeting someone for the first time after chatting to them online can be a little daunting, but following the golden rules should help to ensure success.
Firstly, daters should make sure they have enough cash to pay for dinner, or check whether their chosen venue takes credit and debit cards beforehand.
Secondly, they should avoid drinking too much alcohol, as getting drunk is a sure fire way of turning someone off on a first date.
Other advice includes dressing for the occasion, showing neither too much nor too little flesh, going easy on the perfume and bringing breath mints to make sure that first kiss is one to remember.
Writing in the Mercury News recently, relationship expert Male Call advised online daters not to leave it too long before meeting a potential lover in person.
