Returning daters offered top tips

Men and women returning to the dating scene after several years have been offered some top tips from relationship guru Male Call.

Writing in the Mercury News, he claimed that dating is like riding a bike - you never forget how to do it.

And he said those who are worried about their age should remember than 50 is the new 35, especially for women.

His encouragement is likely to be welcomed by those who are seeking an adulterous relationship and haven't dated anyone new in a while.

Mr Call recommended online dating, but said participants shouldn't leave it too long before meeting a potential lover in person to find out whether they're compatible.

Dating expert Katharine Blodget also offered some advice for those using online dating websites for the first time recently.

In an article for the Business Insider, she said men should avoid beginning their ads by saying they're a "nice guy" as this suggests otherwise, while women should make sure they don't boast about their virtues and accomplishments.
