News presenter writes novel on infidelity She's usually seen grilling politicians on Sky News, but in her spare time presenter Kay Burley has been writing a novel about infidelity.

The book has been picked up by publisher HarperCollins and has been described as "Jilly Cooper crossed with The Thick of It".

As yet untitled, it will focus on the extra-marital affairs of a popular prime minister who has just been elected for a second term.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ms Burley said: "It's not so much a love triangle as a very messy love square.

"It's based on a real prime minister, but there's no way I could possibly say who."

Infidelity seems to be a hit topic in entertainment at the moment.

Primetime soap Coronation Street has recently featured a storyline about two characters involved in an adulterous relationship.

Rival Eastenders is also planning to run episodes in which a recently married character enjoys a steamy clinch with a new arrival on Albert Square.ADNFCR-2938-ID-19564953-ADNFCR
