Corrie actress enjoying secret affair storyline

Vicky Binns has said she is enjoying being part of a secret affair storyline on the popular soap Coronation Street.

The actress, who plays Molly Dobbs in the ITV series, described the plot as "fantastic" and said she's surprised each time she reads a new script.

In the show, Molly has been involved in a discreet relationship with Kevin Webster, while her husband Tyrone has remained clueless.

Kevin's wife Sally has also been blind to the affair.

Vicky said that while the storyline revolves around two marriages, it really involves three relationships, as Kevin and Tyrone are friends.

"It's so challenging emotionally because you've always got to find the truth of that character and find why she's doing it," said the actress.

Secret affairs have dominated Coronation Street plots for years. One of the most famous was Deidre Barlow's adulterous relationship with Mike Baldwin in the 1980s.
