Cheryl Cole stands by her man

Geordie singer Cheryl Cole is determined to stand by her man despite his alleged extra-marital affairs remaining a hot topic for the press.

It's now been two years since the newspapers first started reporting claims, back in January 2008, that her footballer husband Ashley Cole was having fun off the pitch with his bit on the side.

But despite constant hounding from the press to tell all about his alleged secret affairs with hairdresser Aimee Walton and Scottish model Brooke Healy, Cheryl is determined to stick with the Chelsea FC player.

In the latest edition of Company magazine the X Factor judge, who was spotted on the show not wearing her £160,000 diamond wedding ring, said she took it off because it didn't match her dress.

She told the magazine: "Do people really think I'm going to have an argument and take my ring off? It was a fashion statement more than a marriage statement."

Cheryl also expressed regret over former comments she made about Victoria Beckham, whose husband David Beckham allegedly cheated on her with his PA Rebecca Loos in 2004.
