There is never a slow news day for randy MPs.  The latest elected ‘member’ to get caught is Nigel Griffiths who has been outed by the News of the World.  His loyal wife has done the family photo shoot to give support and his chum Gordon Brown has distanced himself from the misuse of house of commmons desk space for the alleged shag.  The article is worth a read for the NOW’s sanctimonious tone as it tells us that this shameful act was carried out on ‘Remeberance Sunday’

Good piece in NOW yesterday with a great pun in the headline - ‘love, honour and o’baize’,  I’m sure you can guess the topic - yes a snooker loverat with pretensions of being a decent Christian.  Yup, chubby happy clappy Shaun Murphy has been crucified in time for Easter.   Clare, his wife  sighed: “People see Shaun as this fine, upstanding moral sportsman — but that’s not the way he’s been treating me.  Shaun had been impressing an old flame with his balls.  

Here we go again with a from the heart Daily Mail confessional about a suspicious wife who used a private detective to ttrack her errant husband to his illicit love nest.  Shock horror!  She spotted  his laptop and shoes thru the letterbox!  I have to limit myself to visits to Planet Daily Mail - I get travel sick.

Cars are on my mind today.  Just bought one, after a long period using sharecars and hire vehicles.  It occurs to me that driving your own vehicle is slightly riskier for the philanderer.  How does one deal with a mistress who uses a heavy distinctive perfume?  Or a mistress who smokes when you don’t?  Alien smells can take quite a while to clear from a car and if the wife grabs the family car for the school run and there is an unfamiliar aroma how do you explain it away?  Also what sort of drive log does your satnav keep?  Will it show up addresses that you can’t explain?  Just a few thoughts to ponder.  Happy motoring!

I have been a bit lax on this blog recently because I have finally made a serious start on my memoirs.   I am writing a couple of hours a day to get down my thoughts and it is coming on very well indeed.   It has taken me a long while to get started but I finally got inspired.  Now that I have made a good strt on the book I can get back to blogging as well.  Looking back over nearly 14 years running Loving links has been a fascinating experience as anecdotes keep coming back into my thoughts.  I have met some really amazing (and wacky) people over the years.  As the book progresses I’ll keep you all posted and in the meantime I’m back to blogging.
